Why it's different from VidIQ, TubeBuddy or Opus Clip

VidIQ / TubeBuddy give suggestions based on metadata (titles, tags, views). They never look at your video. Mentors analyzes every shot, every line of script, every transition.

Opus Clip / Vidyo cut long videos into short clips. They don't tell you what to fix — Mentors does, and backs it with real clips from the mentors you admire.

SnapMedia Mentors is the first AI feedback tool that cites visual evidence from specific creators. Not generic AI opinion: “Hormozi delivers the hook in 1.8s right here, watch”.

Frequently asked questions

What is SnapMedia Mentors?
It's an AI agent that analyzes your YouTube video and returns a report with 5–8 prioritized improvement opportunities. Each recommendation cites 2–3 real clips from viral videos by curated mentors (MrBeast, MKBHD, Alex Hormozi, Ali Abdaal), with timestamps, quotes and deep-links to the exact moment.
How is it different from VidIQ, TubeBuddy or Opus Clip?
VidIQ and TubeBuddy analyze metadata (titles, tags, views) and never open your video. Opus Clip cuts videos into clips but doesn't tell you what to improve. Mentors is the only tool that analyzes content shot-by-shot and backs every recommendation with an evidence clip from a specific mentor — not generic advice.
How long does the report take?
About 3–5 minutes for videos up to 20 minutes long. The pipeline uses Google Gemini 2.5 Flash to understand the video, sentence-transformers MiniLM-L6-v2 for embeddings, and vector similarity in Supabase pgvector to find the evidence.
Which mentors are available?
The starting library includes @MrBeast (entertainment), @MKBHD (tech), @AlexHormozi (business) and @aliabdaal (productivity/lifestyle), with their most viral videos analyzed frame by frame. We add new mentors every week based on beta requests.
When can I submit my own video?
Mentors is currently in private testing while we expand the creator library and finalize pricing. You can preview a full report right now at /mentors/sample — same format, real evidence clips, no signup. Public submissions will reopen once we activate scaled capacity.
Do you keep my video?
We don't download your video. The pipeline passes the public YouTube URL directly to Gemini, which analyzes it from its own servers. We only store the analyzed shots (text + embeddings + YouTube thumbnails) tied to your account, accessible only to you.

Mentors is currently in private testing. Preview a real report — same format, real evidence — without an account.
