Built for how TikTok is watched
Most TikTok is watched with the sound off or low, and the bottom third of the screen sits behind the caption, the username and the buttons. So the captions here are large, show three words at a time with the spoken one highlighted, and sit above that bottom third instead of under it.
The clips themselves are chosen for the first line. Each one starts on the sentence that makes someone stop scrolling — a claim, a question, the middle of a story — and not on the setup that came before it.
What this is, and what it is not
- It makes clips for TikTok out of long YouTube videos: podcasts, interviews, streams uploaded to YouTube, talks.
- It does not take a TikTok link as the source. To save a TikTok video, use the TikTok downloader instead.
- It does not add music, effects or a split-screen gameplay layer. It cuts, frames and captions.
- It does not post for you. You download the MP4 and upload it yourself.
How to make TikTok clips from a long video
- Copy the link of the long video. Copy the YouTube URL of the video you want to clip.
- Paste it and pick short clips. Paste it on snap-media.com/tiktok-clip-maker; the 15–35 second length suits TikTok best.
- Keep 9:16 and bold captions. The defaults are already TikTok’s format. The crop follows the face on screen; switch to “Fit” for shots without people.
- Download and post. Download the MP4 and upload it in the TikTok app.
